GSV through 100 years
In 2014, GSV celebrates their 50 year anniversary. On December 30, 1964, Grunnet, Svendsen and Vaskær founded G.S.V. Materieludlejning A/S on Baldersvej in Ishøj.
Even though the name GSV came to be on the second-to-last day of 1964, the history of the company goes even further back.
In 1912, the contractor business Carl Nielsen Fruens Bøge was founded, and that is the oldest of the companies that GSV is made up of today. As one of the oldest equipment rental businesses in Denmark, GSV has more than 100 years’ worth of experience.
New CEO in 2008
On August 1, 2008, Dan O. Vorsholt was appointed as the CEO. Back in 1996, Dan started out as a vehicle prepper in our Odense branch, and he has held multiple positions in GSV throughout his time with the company, before he came to be the CEO.
Today, GSV is still characterized by the many values that the company was built on, like being kind, goal oriented, innovative and dynamic. More than that, unity and appreciation of good employees are values that are a big part of GSV today, as well as it was in the beginning.
GSV is made up of many different companies, and here is an overview of the development in recent times:
